Rugby NSW CEO, Paul Doorn said it’s an exciting time for community Rugby.
“With NSW Rugby TV as the official community Rugby Broadcast platform of NSW Rugby, there is now extensive coverage across the NSW Rugby community, which is going to assist the growth of the game,” Mr Doorn said.
“Through NSW Rugby TV, there is an opportunity to showcase some of the best talent in community Rugby, as well as put community Rugby on a platform to reach its biggest audience to date.”
Built by Rugby, for Rugby, references the re-investment generated back into the NSW Rugby community, Doorn continued.
“The majority of revenue generated by the service will be retained by the game to be reinvested into Game Development and a multitude of Rugby Programs in the future,” Mr Doorn said.
“Clubs will be provided with direct opportunities to promote their sponsors and partners via a range of commercial opportunities including TVC’s, billboards and in-program integrations, enabling all levels of Rugby in NSW to directly and indirectly benefit.”
Registered players across Clubs broadcasted on NSW Rugby TV will be provided with complimentary access to NSW Rugby TV with all other viewers purchasing either an annual or monthly subscription or a day pass.
In 2021, NSW Rugby TV will be accessed via the community sports streaming platform CluchTV. Cluch is available to watch on all devices and connected screens – iPhone, Android, Tablets, Apple TV, Smart TV - with viewers able to subscribe and tune in from any country in the world.
Gus Seebeck, Managing Director of CluchTV added “NSW Rugby has been our foundation content partner since we launched and we are thrilled to be involved with this new service.”
"The NSW Rugby community embraced our streaming platform in 2020 and the launch of NSW Rugby TV will help build significant value across the game and return that value to clubs and their communities. That's what Cluch is all about," Mr Seebeck said.
